Rachel's Challenge brings message of kindness to students, community

Summit High School and the Summit Police Department are bringing Rachel's Challenge - a message of kindness and compassion - to its students and the Summit community on Thursday, February 11. Rachel Scott was the first victim of the Columbine High School shootings in 1999. Inspired by Rachel's kindness, compassion and journal writings, Rachel's Challenge was formed to spread her messages through educational and corporate presentations throughout the country. Craig Scott, Rachel's brother, will visit Summit High School to present two school assemblies, a training session, and an evening event for parents and community members. The evening program will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of Summit High School, 125 Kent Place Blvd. There is no charge for admission.
