Summit Temporary Public Art Program
Change
is the one constant in our lives. Art helps us understand
and remain open to the beauty and challenge of an evolving
life by eliciting emotions we may not feel in its absence.
The Summit Temporary Art Committee is a subcommittee of Mayor
Jordan Glatt's Partnership for the Arts. Our mission is to
find and exhibit those special artists capable of spontaneously
challenging and thereby enriching the experiences of City residents
and visitors. We do this by inviting artists to share their
work with us in free and ever-changing public forums - for
example:

Volunteers Needed!
The committee can use your help in the following ways: Coordinating the arrival of new art pieces. Each piece that
is displayed in town has its own unique challenges. A volunteer
is needed to coordinate with the artist and the city or property
owner to have the display put into place.
Wilson Park is the newest location for the Summit Temporary
Public Art program. We are planning a grand opening event during
the fall of 2007. We need volunteers to organize and create
this special event.
